The Falcons Lose Again, This Time in Germany

Death, taxes, and the Falcons finding new, excruciating ways to lose football games.

The Falcons took a 14-13 lead in the second quarter and actually lead the game late into the fourth quarter, but of course found a way to come up short.

After I stuck my neck out last week to give Penix credit for his play, he of course had a very poor showing in today’s game.

Penix went 12/28 for only 177 yards and had a fumble that was recovered by the Colts. He was extremely inaccurate.

He missed several open throws to several receivers including underthrowing Kyle Pitts for what should have been an easy touchdown.

It seems like MPJ doesn’t sense pressure quickly and holds onto the ball too long. To make matters worse he had ANOTHER intentional grounding before overtime.

Penix was doing all he could to get it to Mooney, but for some reason he can only seem to complete passes to Drake London.

The run game for the Falcons was fine, but the story of the day was the Colts run game being absolutely fantastic.

Jonathan Taylor had 32 carries for 244 yards for three touchdowns. Even Daniel Jones had 7 carries for 53 yards which included a huge play to help tie the game late.

Plain and simple, the Colts found a way to win while the Falcons found ways to lose. It’s the same story every week for the Falcons.

The second I saw the game was going into overtime I knew the Falcons would not come out on top. This coaching staff is incompetent and it flows into the product on the field.

I don’t care about the fact the Falcons don’t have a first round pick. I genuinely hope that the Falcons keep losing to help them in the long run by getting this coaching staff fired.
