Lamine Yamal has had a big weekend. He turned 17 yesterday and then played 88 minutes of the Euro final as Spain went on to win it all.
During the Euro finale against England, Yamal was not able to score but had several great opportunities including an assist.
His four assists in the tournament were more than any other player.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he scored an unreal goal outside of the box during the match with France.
This goal made him the youngest player to score in Euros history.
Yamal has been at Barcelona since he was 7 years old and just like Messi made his first appearance with the team at 16.
The comparisons to possibly soccers’ greatest player does not end there.
Messi will also try to win the tournament he’s playing in tonight. Yamal and Messi were introduced when the former was just 6 months old with a picture for proof - Coincidence or no?

I grew up playing and watching pretty much every sport but soccer. I can sadly say I missed watching Messi and Ronaldo in their primes.
As the Copa America and Euro tournaments draw to a close, many people wonder how many tournaments Ronaldo and Messi have left.
What we do know is Yamal has many more tournaments to come.
I’m not saying that Yamal will be a legend such as Ronaldo and Messi, but don’t miss the chance to see what he becomes.
